Racing Cars in Your Maths Classroom?

Why not? .. We previously talked about real data in 2019
Wow .. it was great to see you yesterday .. if you took a car .. text John and get coding to run it around your classroom!!
Data, data and more data .... we are drowning in it! This workshop will show you how to have some fun with it .. by racing toy cars and allowing your students to experience linear and non-linear data models. Remotely controlled cars are a common toy, many students will have one .. and will have played with them without thinking of coding or building them! We can use pseudo code to analyse the functions of the controller and the toy car. We must first measure the distance travelled. We must then program the car and the phone/pad to transmit and receive the data. First we need a moving device.  A made-up toy car will do!
