The LED Tree

is a great project for learning about four important parts of any electronic circuit ... and after a lot of soldering .. it works!

  • Let's start by identifying the parts of the printed circuit
  • Click on this picture to see the enlarge photo of the circuit
  • Try and identify the holes that are marked D, R, C, and Q .. the numbers alongside each letter will identify separate components.  For example D9 and D10 are the same bit .. but duplicates in different parts of the circuit.
  • Now insert the parts
  • The actual circuit board is now linked to a symbolic circuit ... this will show how the electronic components are attached ...
  • See if you can work out what the parts D, R, C and Q do on our LED Tree!
